Ephedra is a natural herb originating from the interior North West regions of Pakistan. It is leaf green in color, belongs to the plant Ephedra sinica and is moist when harvested. It grows mostly in sandy soils and under direct sun exposure. The parts used are plant, stems, roots and sticks of ephedra. These sticks are classified as Thin and Thick while we clean, sort and select these sticks to remove foreign matter and impurities. Ephedra stiicks are dried before being packed.

The other name of ephedra is 'Ma Huang' and it is believed to have been used in Chinese medicine for more than 5000 years and have traditionally been used by indigenous people for a variety of herbal treatments to treat allergies, asthma, hay fever, cough, bronchitis, nasal congestion etc.
